Prediction Market Rules

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age (or 21 where required by law).
• Prediction markets are not available in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for complying with local laws. JockBroker enforces geographic restrictions based on your verified location.
• You must complete identity verification (KYC) before placing entries or withdrawing winnings. This includes providing a valid government-issued ID and proof of address.
• Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of JockBroker or its data providers are prohibited from participating.

2. Fantasy Point Scoring

Player performance is measured using JockBroker's fantasy point scoring system. Scoring formulas vary by sport (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB) and convert real-world statistics into a single fantasy point total.

Scoring formulas are published and available for review at any time. Any changes to scoring formulas will be announced at least 7 days before taking effect and will not apply retroactively to open markets.

3. Market Types

JockBroker offers multi-option comparison markets where you pick the winner from a field. Markets are generated daily for each sport based on that day's scheduled games.

4. Entry Rules

• Minimum entry fee: $1. Maximum entry fee: $500 (may vary by market).
• Single-pick entries contain exactly one market prediction. Multi-leg entries combine 2–10 predictions into a single entry.
• For multi-leg entries, all legs must win for the entry to pay out (unless a leg is voided — see Push Rules below).
• Entries are final once submitted and cannot be modified or cancelled after placement.
• You may place multiple entries on the same market, subject to per-market and per-user limits.
• Multi-leg multiplier: entries with multiple legs receive a bonus multiplier calculated as max(1.5, 1 + (number_of_active_legs × 0.5)). Examples: 1 leg = 1.5×, 2 legs = 2.0×, 3 legs = 2.5×, 5 legs = 3.5×, 10 legs = 6.0×. Final payout = entry_fee × leg_multiplier × card_boost_multiplier (card boost applies only when a boost card is active).

5. Odds & Multipliers

Each option's opening probability is derived from projected Fantasy Points using a power-law transformation (exponent 0.7). This compresses the gap between favorites and underdogs compared to a simple linear ratio, producing more balanced opening odds.

As the pool grows, odds blend from projection-based to pool-based using a linear transition with a $500 threshold:

• At $0 pool: odds are 100% projection-based.
• At $500+ pool: odds are 100% pool-based (parimutuel). Options with more money behind them pay less; options with less money pay more.
• Between $0 and $500: a linear blend of projection-based and pool-based probabilities.

The displayed multiplier is calculated as (1 / probability) × 0.9, where the 0.9 factor accounts for the 10% platform fee.

The multiplier shown at entry time is indicative — your actual payout depends on the final pool distribution at settlement, since additional entries may shift probabilities before the market locks.

6. Quick Parlays

Quick Parlays are pre-built suggested multi-leg entries generated daily by JockBroker. They are a convenience feature — not a separate product — designed to help you discover interesting combinations faster.

• Quick Parlays follow the same rules, odds, settlement logic, and platform fee as any user-built multi-leg entry.
• You can enter a Quick Parlay with one tap at its preset entry amount, or add individual legs from a Quick Parlay to your own custom slip.
• Once entered, a Quick Parlay is treated identically to a manually constructed multi-leg entry for the purposes of locking, settlement, disputes, and payouts.
• JockBroker may rotate or remove Quick Parlay suggestions at any time before they are entered. Entered Quick Parlays are final and subject to the standard entry rules in Section 4.

7. Market Locking

Markets lock at game start minus a configurable buffer (typically 5 minutes before the scheduled start time). No new entries are accepted after a market locks.

If a game starts earlier than scheduled, the market locks at actual game start. Late-arriving entries submitted after tip-off/kickoff will be automatically refunded.

8. Settlement Timing

Markets are settled when SportRadar reports the game as final. Settlement typically occurs within minutes of the game ending, but may be delayed if official stats are not immediately available.

In rare cases where SportRadar data is unavailable or delayed beyond 24 hours, JockBroker may use alternative official league data sources or void the market.

9. Stat Finality

After initial settlement, there is a 36-hour stat finality window. During this period, official stat corrections from the league or SportRadar may trigger re-settlement.

• Only official stat corrections from recognized sources are considered.
• If a correction changes the outcome of a market, all affected entries are re-settled automatically.
• After the 36-hour window closes, results are final regardless of any subsequent stat changes.
• Winnings may be held as pending during the finality window before becoming withdrawable.

10. Tie Handling

A tie occurs when two or more options finish with identical actual values (same fantasy points or same team score) and both are the highest.

• Co-winners: If multiple options tie for the top, all tied options are declared winners. The winning pool is split among entries that picked any of the tied options.
• Single-pick entry: If you picked any co-winner, your entry wins.
• Multi-leg entry: A tied winning leg counts as a WIN for that leg.

11. Voided Markets

A market may be voided under the following circumstances:

• Cancelled or postponed game: If a game is cancelled, postponed, or suspended and not completed within 24 hours of the original start time.
• Inactive player: If the featured player is ruled inactive, does not enter the game, or is scratched from the lineup before game start.
• Data failure: If official statistics cannot be obtained from SportRadar or alternative sources within a reasonable time frame.
• Platform error: If a market was created with an obviously incorrect line due to a data or platform error.

When a market is voided, all entry fees for that market are refunded in full. In multi-leg entries, the voided leg is removed and the remaining legs are evaluated independently.

12. Dispute Process

• Disputes must be filed within 72 hours of market settlement.
• JockBroker will review and respond to disputes within 5 business days.
• Valid dispute types include:
  • Incorrect stat data used for settlement
  • Market not settled after game completion
  • Entry not properly recorded or credited
  • Payout calculation error
• The following are not valid grounds for dispute: disagreement with the line, disagreement with fantasy scoring rules, or dissatisfaction with the outcome.
• If a dispute is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate to binding arbitration per the Terms of Service.

13. Platform Fee

JockBroker charges a platform fee on each market pool. The default fee is 10% of the total pool, but may vary by market type or promotional offer.

• The platform fee is deducted from the total pool before winnings are distributed.
• The applicable fee percentage is displayed on each market before you place an entry.
• JockBroker does not take any additional spread, markup, or hidden fees.
